Michael has been in the financial services industry since 2001 when he decided to help people with their personal finances. Initially, he decided to concentrate in protection planning. He obtained his life, health, and annuity license through the state of Florida. He specialized in life insurance, Medicare, long term care, and fixed & indexed annuities. Over the years Michael has helped clients navigate the complexities of Medicare and prescription Rx coverage. He understands the importance of balancing appropriate healthcare with affordable costs, all the while making these considerations easier to understand.
At the start of 2005 Michael, along with two partners, started Preservation 1st Financial Group, LLC. In 2011, he decided to add investment planning into the services he offered. He passed his Series 7 and 66 and until mid-2023 Michael was licensed and qualified to provide advice in individualized, suitable investment and financial planning strategies. He has also built a reputation for being a qualified professional in protection planning. He now refers all of the financial strategies to his son, Christian.
Prior to getting into the financial services industry, he owned a successful sportswear business. This experience and other marketing ventures through the years provided him with insight into the thoughts, concerns, and risks a business owner faces on a regular basis. In his younger days, Michael earned his Bachelors Degree in English / Communications from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY.
On the personal side, married 45+ years to Madeline, they have 5 children and ten grandchildren and therefore infusing them with a fundamental appreciation of the dynamics of family life! Until recently, Michael & Madeline have had the privilege to care personally for her parents at home for over 11 years, giving them both insight and experience relating to elder family care and dementia.
Michael is very active in the community. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce. As a Chamber Ambassador, he welcomes businesses and helps them to maximize their Chamber membership.
